Wow – what a fantastic sounding tube. This tube from Siemens’ early production days – 1957 – not as old as their coin base, but the difference is only a year or two. The sound is very open and has the gentleness that is very unique to late 1950s production run by many European manufacturers. It wasn’t reproduced ever again and that’s too bad because that sound goes very well with female vocal jazz – hard to find a better match than this. Bass is very tight and controlled allowing bass guitar to shine. If you can find it, get it – it currently goes for about $20-25 a tube, which is an incredible deal for this kind of tube. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
